The popular Club Penguin play Secrets of the Bamboo Forest has returned to the stage in the Plaza. This play debuted in Club Penguin in February 2010 and has returned for an encore performance just eight months later. The play follows the adventures of several animal characters such as Monkey King, Funny Pig and Guardian Dog. Monkey King and Funny Pig try to gain access to the palace of the Phoenix Queen to claim her treasure. But they need a special object to enter.

A neat thing about this play is that there’s a mini-quest contained within it. Here’s a very short walkthrough for Secrets of the Bamboo Forest. When you waddle across the stage, you’ll come to a river that you cannot cross unless you have the Gold Feather. To get this feather, you must leave the Stage area and seek it out on the island. You’ll find it in the form of a pin, which this time around is hidden at the outside of the Mine. Once you have the Gold Feather Pin, when you approach the river a footbridge will appear and you can cross over to the throne in the small palace. When you do, a special Phoenix Queen background will appear.

The newest play to arrive at the Club Penguin Stage is called Secrets of the Bamboo Forest. It is a very creative play based on Asian folklore and takes place in a bamboo forest. The script follows the efforts of two characters called the Monkey King and the Funny Pig who are trying to find the mysterious golden feather treasure and meet the Phoenix Queen. This is what the inside of the stage looks like with the new play all set up.

A fun twist to the play at the stage is that you can follow along with the script by finding the golden feather yourself. This is the newest collectable pin, known as the feather pin and it’s hidden up at the Beacon on top of the lighthouse. You’ll need to have that pin in order to get across the river to the Phoenix Queen’s throne. When you stand next to the throne, the special Phoenix Queen background will be revealed.

One notable thing about this new play is that there is no Switchbox 3000 device! Here’s a short video walkthrough I made on YouTube that shows you exactly where to find the Golden Feather and how to get across the river on the special bridge that appears.

The Phoenix Queen's Background in Club Penguin

Club Penguin’s Fairy Fables has returned to the stage again. Yes, it’s the third run for this play at the Club Penguin Stage. Fairy Fables was an award winner at the Club Penguin Play Awards last year, capturing the Best Costumes award and preventing the Quest for the Golden Puffle from sweeping the event. The storyline for the play follows three main characters, Prince Redhood, Grumpunzel, and Big Bad Wool. Big Bad Wool is probably my favorite character in all of the Club Penguin plays, and the sheep costume you can get in the catalog is the best costume ever.

You can play around with the Switchbox 3000 device to turn up a few secrets and surprises. My favorite is the lever, which causes a yellow puffle to appear in the bookcase back in the upper left corner.

There’s just one cheat in the costume trunk catalog. Click on the CD player that appears on the bookshelf behind Twee (the play’s narrator) to get the silver wand, which costs 150 coins.

There’s a new play at the stage and it’s called Norman Swarm Has Been Transformed. It’s a very creative play about a scientist named Norman Swarm who transforms himself into a tiny size and then must get the help of some friendly bugs to find the cure.

This play has a secret underground Gnome room. The entrance is in the back middle of the stage but it can only be entered if several penguins stand on the X’s on the floor. Also, one of the penguins needs to be wearing one of the bug costumes from the Costume Trunk. Then you can go downstairs to the secret room. There will be a treasure chest that will open when enough penguins stand on the small X’s there as well.

Inside the treasure chest you will find a special pin called the Magic Phial Pin.

There’s a new play at the stage, called Underwater Adventure. The story follows two penguins named Daring Daisy and Fearless Fiesel who go on a mission into the depths of the ocean to search for treasure.

Along with the new play is a new costume trunk. The cover is a parody of the Little Mermaid, which is also a Disney-owned movie.

The new play, Ruby and the Ruby, is at the stage and today’s activity in Club Penguin is to pretend to be one of the characters in the play. Here is what the newspaper suggests you do:

Ruby and the Ruby has returned to the Club Penguin Stage. This is one of my favorite plays in Club Penguin. It’s a 1930′s detective story and the play is entirely in black and white. It follows the story of a detective named Jacque Hammer and a woman named Ruby. It’s really fun.

Get the Ruby Pin

There is a secret ruby pin hidden in the stage. To get it, you have to click on a number of different things in exact order. Here’s what to do.

1. Click on the file cabinet in the office.
2. Click on the lamp on the desk near the front.
3. Click on the garbage can in the alley in the back.
4. Click on the book on the same desk as the lamp you clicked before.
5. Click on the flower vase on the table in the living room
6. Click on the painting on the wall, which reveals a safe
7. Click on the combination lock on the safe to open it and reveal the red ruby pin!

Dark Detective’s Coat

The costume catalog for the Ruby and the Ruby play is filled with some really cool detective clothing. There’s also one secret hidden item, the Dark Detective’s Coat. Here’s how to get it: go to the page with the guy in the blue suit standing next to the bellhop. Click on the doorknob behind him and you will get the Dark Detective’s Coat.

Noir Background

On the very back cover, you can click and drag the text to uncover a secret hidden player background, the Noir Background. Thank you to the Penguin Queen for pointing this one out. You rock!

The Play

The play is set in a woods setting and the story follows a Prince trying to rescue a Princess and his encounter with a Big Bad…Sheep. It’s one of the funniest plays Club Penguin has made.

There’s a new icon underneath the script. It is a red book and if you click on it you can read the whole Fairy Fables story.

There is a secret hidden item in the costume trunk catalog. Click on the boom box behind Twee to get the silver wand.

New Play at the Stage

A new play has arrived at the stage and it is called the Haunting of the Viking Opera. It is a play about a play and features a story about an opera company that seems to be haunted by a ghost. The star singer of the opera, Helga, is afraid of the ghost and refuses to sing her solo until the brave detective Bailey can solve the mystery.

It’s a very fun play and the stage decorations look great. The Switchbox 3000 lets you control the viking ship and pulling the level causes a yellow puffle to come out and sing.
