Today’s activity in Club Penguin 101 Days of Fun is all about the Music Jam 2009 party, which is going on right now. Here’s what the Club Penguin newspaper says:

Rock? Country? Pop? Get your outfit, instrument & friends! Check out every stage, pick your favorite, and get 5 penguins dancing!

There are a lot of different stages to view. I think my favorite is the one inside the lighthouse, but I also like the Orca Straw stage over in the Ski Village.

The 2009 Club Penguin Music Jam Party has started. Be sure to check out my main Club Penguin Music Jam page for the full guide and all the news as it becomes available. The island looks awesome with lots of really cool decorations. And of course everyone’s really excited about meeting DJ Cadence in the Night Club and the Club Penguin Band backstage. The Club Penguin Music Jam 2009 is underway! It’s a huge party just like last year and a lot of the rooms are decorated especially for the party. I’ll be updating this page as frequently as I can over the next few hours to give you a complete tour of the Music Jam Party. Free Item: Green Headphones

What’s a Club Penguin party without a free item? You can get the Green Headphones at the Cove. They’re in a box up at the top near the lifeguard chair.

Free Item for Members: Boombox

Club Penguin members who have purchased an all-access pass at the snow forts can get upstairs to the roof of the Night Club. This is where DJ Cadence shows up during her appearances. You can also get a boombox in this room. It’s the same one that was given out at the member party here earlier this year.

The Dock

The stage at the dock is a huge stadium style music stage and the music sounds like loud concert rock and roll. There are pyrotechnics on the stage every minute or so and they seem to be timed to the music. It’s pretty cool. The biggest part of the Dock though is that this is where you can get to the backstage area once you have an all-access pass. You need to be a member to have the pass.

Backstage at the Dock

Members with the all-access pass from the snow forts can get backstage at the Dock. The room is usually crowded or full because this is where the Club Penguin Band can make appearances when they are on break. There is a box of instruments in the bottom-left corner and when you go over to it you get the music catalog, where you can purchase musical instruments. There are a few music catalog cheats and secrets, so be sure to check it out!

The Beach

There’s a big pink stage set up at the beach and there is some fun, pop music that plays when someone gets up on the stage. It also lights up with lots of spotlights and colors.

The Lighthouse

The inside of the lighthouse looks really cool with lots of colorful graffiti on the walls and a huge red puffle painted on the floor. The music is alternative/punk and it sounds really cool. On my tour this one of the most crowded places at Music Jam 2009.

The Forest

If you like country music, head over to the forest where there’s a country music stage set up. There’s some lighthearted country music playing and a really cool giant windmill.

The Snow Forts

There’s a huge battle of the bands setup over at the Snow Forts. There’s a red stage and a blue stage where people can rock out. The Music Jam shirt store is here and this is where you can buy the all-access pass that gets you into the backstage areas at the Dock and inside the Night Club. You can also walk to the Music Maker 3000 from here, and it’s one of the highlights of the Club Penguin Music Jam 2009 Party.

Music Maker 3000

The Music Maker 3000 is one of the coolest parts of the Music Jam party. Just take a look at those giant maracas! It’s a fun room where the music changes whenever a penguin steps on one of the color squares in the middle of the room. When at least one penguin is on a square, the giant instrument behind it plays part of the song.

The Cove

There’s a small stage over at the Cove and the music has an island/luau theme. It’s totally appropriate for the Cove. The free green headphones are also found here in a box over by the lifeguard chair at the top of the room.

The Iceberg

The main attraction at the iceberg is the Club Penguin Band, which plays up on stage. When they’re on break there’s a chance you’ll be able to spot them backstage if you’re a member and have the all-access pass. The Ski Village

There is a big classical music stage right in the middle of the ski village. They even moved the tour guide booth over to the left to make room for it. The sign above it calls it the Orca Straw. And of course the music is classical symphony. It’s a nice relaxing place to hang out.

The Coffee Shop

The Coffee Shop looks really cool. It is decorated like a night club/jazz lounge with a stage and tables. There’s a big red button on the wall near the stairs. If you press it, confetti will fly up near the stage.

The Lounge

The lounge, also known as the second floor of the Night Club, is decorated like a recording studio with a big green screen and a control booth. There’s also a staircase that leads up to the roof, which is only for members who have the all-access pass. This is where you’ll be able to meet DJ Cadence during the party. The Mine

If you go inside the mine, you can play a tune with the musical icicles. It sounds kind of silly but they’re cool. Move your mouse over them to play the different notes. Then when you get bored, jump on a cart and play Cart Surfer to win some coins!

Underground Pool

The underground pool has been transformed into the Floor Piano 3000. There is a big switch that changes the piano between solo and multi-player. Step on the different keys to play the piano.
