Club Penguin posted a notice in their community section about upcoming games and events. It sounds like the theme for the month will be games, with a lot of new things coming up.

  • The Club Penguin Fair starts tomorrow, and just like in past years, it will feature plenty of new games. These special mini-games will let you earn tickets that you can trade in for prizes at the fair.
  • On September 14, green puffles will get a starring role in one of the regular mini-games. If you have one, it will play the mini-game with you just like how the red puffle helps in Catchin’ Waves and the Pink Puffle helps in Aqua Grabber.
  • On September 24, there will be some special team events at the Stadium
  • It all sounds like fun. Any guesses on what game the green puffle will appear in? Post in the comments if you have any ideas.

Rockhopper is on his way right now to the main Club Penguin island aboard his ship, the Migrator. He’ll be arriving on Friday to help kick off the Club Penguin Fair this year. If you head up to the lighthouse and take a peek through the telescope, you’ll see the Migrator is close to arriving and it’s overloaded with party decorations. But the big news is that Rockhopper’s arrivals always mean that he’ll be wandering around the island and you’ll have a chance to meet him in person and get his autographed picture to use as your player card background.

Another reason to try and find Rockhopper this week is that you could earn the character stamp for being in the same room as him. The simplest way to find Rockhopper is to use the Rockhopper Tracker. But here are some handy tips and Club Penguin cheats on where you’ll likely spot him, and where you definitely won’t.

Tips on Finding Rockhopper on Club Penguin

    • Rockhopper moves from server to server, so pick popular servers and wait for him to arrive.
    • He usually visits places like his ship, the Migrator, and public gathering areas like Town, the Coffee Shop, and the Plaza.
    • You’ll know he’s probably close by on your server if rooms start filling up with other penguins.

Here’s some spots where you might find Rockhopper

And here are some where you definitely won’t. Lol!

The Club Penguin Fair for 2010 is only a few days away and you can already see a lot of the preparations underway at the Beach. There are a lot of boxes and crates stacked up out in front of the lighthouse. Usually more of the island is under construction for upcoming parties, but this time you’ll only find stuff at the Beach. For an extra peek at what’s planned, waddle up to the top of the lighthouse and click on the telescope to see Rockhopper’s ship, the Migrator, on it’s way. It’s overloaded with party gear! The Fall Fair starts on September 3, 2010!

The Migrator on its way to the island for the Fall Fair

The Migrator’s arrival means that Rockhopper will be on the island. In addition to the Fair Fair he’ll be bringing pirate stuff for members to buy and a free item for everyone. And don’t forget to use the Rockhopper Tracker to pinpoint him. This will be everyone’s first chance to get one of the famous penguin sighting stamps for their Club Penguin Stamps books.

Another week, another EPF Field Ops mission. This week takes us to the Clock Tower at the Snow Forts. The mission briefing this time pretty much tells you exactly where to go. To get started, click on your spy phone to go to the command center and then accept the new Field Ops mission. Then use your map to go to the Snow Forts. Walk under the target on the side of the Clock Tower and your spy phone light will turn green. Click on it to do the puzzle.

Stand under the target on the clock tower to do the puzzle for Field Ops 12.

Once again, the puzzle is the battery recharging game. I really hope Club Penguin starts adding some new puzzles into the EPF Field Ops mix because these are getting pretty boring.

P.S. Here’s a quick video of Club Penguin Field Ops 12 in case you’re having difficulty with either the puzzle game or finding the spot at the Snow Forts.

The Club Penguin Community Tree, which is planted over at the Mine, has grown very high. You can see it for yourself by going to the Mine on your map. You can’t miss it! The recent growth may mean that Club Penguin has some plans for the tree soon. Stay tuned!

Club Penguin Igloo Pin http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-igloo-pin/ http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-igloo-pin/#comments Thu, 26 Aug 2010 23:28:30 +0000 SecretPenguin http://club-penguin-secrets.com/?p=3257 Club Penguin Igloo Pin at the Underground Pool

The Club Penguin Igloo Pin has arrived on the island. This time you’ll find it hidden down underground in the pool. It’s in the window on the right side of the room. What’s the significance of the igloo pin? If you read this week’s Club Penguin Times newspaper, you’ll see that starting tomorrow, you can save your igloo styles that you purchase from the catalog. Up until now, when you buy a new igloo, it removes the existing one and you’d have to buy that old one again to get it back. It’s not clear if saving your igloo will keep all the furniture in-place when you save it. That would be really cool! Check out the Club Penguin igloo pin before it disappears in two weeks.

How to Find the Club Penguin Igloo Pin

Use the map to go to the Plaza and use the ladder to go underground. Then go through the manhole cover on the sidewalk to get to the Underground pool and find the Club Penguin igloo pin.

The annual Club Penguin Fair (also known as the Fall Fair) is about to get started. It arrives on Club Penguin on September 3, 2010 and it’s certain to be one of the biggest parties of the year on the island. The Fair is filled with lots of decorations, festivities and mini-games. There will be lots of prizes to collect, especially for members.

The other big news is that Rockhopper will be arriving at the start of the fair to provide the final decorations and kick things off. Of course, any arrival by Captain Rockhopper is a big event on Club Penguin, but this will be special because it will be the first time a celebrity penguin has appeared in the game since the new Club Penguin Stamps were released. Now is your chance to add another stamp to your book!

You can check out highlights from the 2009 Club Penguin Fair here. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the Rockhopper Tracker once the Migrator arrives on the island.

    Club Penguin Field Ops 11 – Dangerous Speaker http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-field-ops-11-dangerous-speaker/ http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-field-ops-11-dangerous-speaker/#comments Tue, 24 Aug 2010 03:50:30 +0000 SecretPenguin http://club-penguin-secrets.com/?p=3249 Club Penguin Field Ops 11

There’s another Field-Ops mission available today in Club Penguin. This is Field-Ops #11, Dangerous Speaker. Your assignment is to locate a speaker somewhere on the island that someone has rigged to cause serious damage. Just like with all Field-Ops missions, the first thing you need to do is report to the EPF Command Center to accept the assignment.

    Club Penguin Dangerous Speaker

The speaker in the lower-left corner of the room is the dangerous speaker that has been rigged to do serious damage.

Once you’ve reported in and have the mission, go to the Lighthouse, which you can get to either using the Map or with your spy phone. Once inside, go to the very lower-left corner in the room and walk to the speaker that’s sitting up on the stage. When you pass by it, your spy phone will light up green and vibrate. Click it to do this week’s puzzle, which is a repeat of the circuit matching puzzle we’ve had several times before. After you match all the circuits, you’ll disable the speaker and complete the Field-Op. Good work, agent!

The mission is pretty easy to do but just in case it’s not totally clear, here is a video I made on YouTube that shows you exactly what to do.

Club Penguin Party Hats http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-party-hats/ http://club-penguin-secrets.com/2010/08/club-penguin-party-hats/#comments Sat, 21 Aug 2010 15:03:02 +0000 SecretPenguin http://club-penguin-secrets.com/?p=3234 Club Penguin Party Hats in the Coffee Shop

    The Party Hats

We’re continuing the series on Club Penguin costumes today with a look at some of the most desirable items in the game, the Club Penguin party hats. One of the great things about the party hats is that anyone can have them. You don’t need to be a member. The only problem is that you need to have attended the anniversary parties in the past to get the hats.

Each year in October, Club Penguin holds an anniversary party to celebrate the launch of the game in October, 2005. That means that so far there have been four anniversary parties, with a fifth coming up in October 2010. The four anniversary hats are all striped and have a different look. They were all given out during the parties inside the coffee shop (the second year hat was given out upstairs in the Book Room).

If you have three or even all four of the hats it means you’ve been around a while! Here’s a look at all of the different party hats.

Club Penguin First Year Party Hat

The first year party hat had blue and green stripes.

Club Penguin Second Year Party Hat

The second year party hat had yellow and orange stripes.

Club Penguin third year party hat

The third year party had had blue, orange and yellow stripes.

Club Penguin Fourth Year Party Hat

The fourth year party had featured purple and blue stripes.

    The Beta Hat

There’s an even rarer hat out there: the Beta Hat. This hat was given out to all players who participated in the beta test before Club Penguin launched. It was a pink and yellow-striped hat and it was given out in Town at the end of the beta test.

One of the rarest items in the game. The Club Penguin beta hat!
