February 2010

Everyone’s favorite penguin pirate, Captain Rockhopper, will be returning to the island again very soon. He’s due to arrive on March 5 and if you take a look in the telescope up at the beacon, you’ll spot the Migrator, his ship, on the horizon as it makes its way from Rockhopper Island over to Club Penguin island. Each time Rockhopper visits, he brings new stuff for members to buy and at least one free item for everyone. Plus, as most penguins know, he makes regular appearances while he’s visiting, and you can spot him walking around from place to place. If you’re lucky, you can meet him and get his special background. You can use my Rockhopper Tracker once he arrives to help figure out what server he is on during his visit to the island.

Well, Club Penguin is trying to pass this off as “a new mission update” but the news is really that we all have to wait longer–a lot longer for Mission 11. There is a new blog post on the main Club Penguin blog and it provides a new sketch, but what it’s really saying is that Mission 11 is still months away. Remember that it’s been fourteen months already since Mission 10 came out, so it could be as much as a year and a half between missions. I sure hope this one is really good, because PSA members really haven’t had much to do for a very long time.

There aren’t many details about the mission given out in this latest “update.” The picture is of Herbert sitting at a computer with Klutzy and laughing. And all they really say is that Herbert is very determined. Well, duh!

At least there’s more time for new penguins to get ready and do all the earlier missions so that they can play Mission 11 once it is released. If you need help or all of the missions, we’ve got it here:
