The secret cave behind the mine finally opened up. There are some cool new activities, a few new rooms, and a couple of free items for everyone.
The first place you should go is inside the mine. You can get there from the map or by clicking any of the Dig Site signs you see around Club Penguin, like the one in Town. When you arrive, you’ll see a crate with orange hard hats inside it. It’s a free item for everyone. Make sure you pick one up before you go inside because you’ll need it to do the next part.
Now go through the tunnel on the back wall and you’ll arrive inside the dig site. It’s dark inside at first, but you can throw snowballs into the big container in the back to provide power for the lights.
Put on the hard hat you just got and do the dance action in the dirt area at the bottom of the room. You can also press the D key as a shortcut. Move around to four different places on the ground and dance in each spot. After a few seconds, you’ll find all four pieces of the amethyst pin. You get to keep the pin and it will open up the next part of the secret cave, which is located underneath the waterfall in the back.
The next room is a really cool underground treasure room. There’s lots of treasure scattered all over the place. Rockhopper would be really excited! There is also an underwater area and more waterfalls. Members can also purchase a Deep Sea Diving Suit here. It costs only 50 coins. Once you get it, walk into the water and go through the open doorway on the right side and you will arrive in the special members only underwater room.
This final room looks like a big coral reef underwater, with lots of plants and fish. You’ll even see the jellyfish things swimming by that was part of the sneak peek of things coming soon this year that they posted on the main CP blog. Finally, you can pick up the coral reef background in the middle of the room.

this is kinda stupid questin but i heard that if you dont throw snowballs in the machine that gives light , and its dark you will get a red hat or someother prize. is that true?
I don’t know if the red hat thing is true. Try going on early in the morning or late at night to a really empty server. Then maybe there will be hardly any people there and you can try that. Thanks for the cheats! The 2nd underwater room is so cool!

I danced in like 20 different spots, while wearing my hard hat, and never once found a piece of the pin.
Wait, I figured it out. You must be wearing ONLY your hard hat, nothing else.
