The Club Penguin Christmas Party for 2009 has arrived and it’s a really big one. Many of the rooms in Club Penguin are completely decked out with holiday decorations and there are toys and presents scattered all over the island. Another nice touch this year is that they made it night time everywhere in Club Penguin for the party. Here’s some of the big Christmas Party cheats and secrets.
Free Item: Santa Hat
Most Club Penguin parties have a free item for all players and the Christmas Party is no exception. This year, the Santa Hat returns as the free item. You’ll find it in a big green box in the Ski Village. It’s too bad they couldn’t give out a new free item, but I guess it’s a good one for the Christmas Party!
Santa’s Workshop and Sleigh Ride
The second floor of the Night Club, also known as the Lounge, has been transformed into Santa’s Workshop, complete with a series of conveyor belts and a huge present bag. The main reason to visit, though, is to take part in the Santa Sled Ride, which is only available for members. To do it, click on the staircase leading up to the roof.
Once you’re on the Sleigh, click the green fly button to start the game. Then, as you pass over the rooftops, you keep pressing the big red present release button to drop gifts from the giant bag in the sleigh into the chimneys below. You need to time it right to get them in and you need to get 15 total presents in the chimneys to win the game. A good trick is to press the button just as the present counter in the bottom left is over the chimney. When you finish the game, you’ll win a full Santa Suit. It goes great with the free Santa Hat and the Santa beard from last year’s party.
Other Christmas Party Attractions
Iceberg
There’s a sad looking little Christmas Tree at the Iceberg again this year. Last year, you could grow the tree all by yourself to make it big. This year, you need to get lots of penguins together on the iceberg and the tree will grow by itself. The more people you get to join you, the bigger the tree gets. And no, it won’t make the iceberg tip.
Concert for Change at the Lighthouse
The outside of the lighthouse at the beach is decorated with a big banner that says, Concert for Change. If you go inside, there’s a stage with seating and a dance floor. There’s even a coat check! It would be really cool if the Club Penguin Band or Rockhopper showed up for the concert during the party.
Beacon
Go upstairs to the Beacon and you’ll see that it’s been replaced with a giant red Christmas Tree bulb.
Santa Chair in Book Room
Upstairs on the second floor of the Coffee Shop, also known as the Book Room, there’s a big Santa Chair. You can put on the Santa outfit you got from the sleigh ride along with the hat and beard and pretend to be Santa Claus. Ask other penguins if they’ve been good and what they want for Christmas. I want Mission 11!
Christmas Tree in Forest
The forest has an amazingly huge Christmas Tree with lots of presents underneath it. You can’t really do anything special here but it looks so cool it’s worth visiting. Also, if you pay attention to the Club Penguin Map, you’ll see that they are showing the lit up tree in the forest there, too.
Skate Pond at the Dock
The Dock features an ice skating pond that is frozen over. If you waddle over on top of it, you’ll skate around just like you do on the Ice Rink. There’s also some nice hot chocolate to keep you warm. Mmmmm.
Gingerbread Mine
The mine is decorated as a giant gingerbread house. It looks delicious!
Pizza Parlor
The pizza parlor has a long table in the middle that replaces all of the normal small ones. There’s a huge pizza on the table and if you click on it, you’ll serve the pizza slices onto the plates. Click on the slices and they’ll be eaten! You can also click on the fruitcake and the big fish to change those as well.
Dojo Lights
The outside of the Dojo is decorated with hundreds of colored lights and the two puffle statues guarding it are wearing Santa Hats. Sensei is going to have an enormous electricity bill this month!
There are lots of other little surprises and secrets for the Christmas Party and if you wander around enough, you’ll find plenty of fun stuff to see. It’s another great Christmas Party on Club Penguin this year. Happy holidays, everyone!

Hi this is a really cool website one of the best clubpenguin ones i have seen! im new to clubpenguin this year [2010] and i really can’t wait for this year’s christmas party in 2 months. I want to get the free item the santa hat and the coins for change bell. Right now in september it’s the fall fair on cp and i am having a great time i won all the prizes. Next month is the halloween party and 5th anniversary of cp can’t wait! Till then so bye.

Hi again, well its october now the halloween party is coming in 18 days. Well im in new zealand and it is tuesday here but not on cpclocktower time. So im not really excited 4 it but the 5th anniversary is before it on 24th october i might go but if im busy i cant. I just cant wait 4 december. I want it to be christmas and it will be the holidays. Also when the december 2010 clothing catalog comes out too. Hi again well the halloween party is arriving in 9 days. Today its thursday in new zealand but on cp its wednesday i want to read the new newspaper when it comes.
